Variety is one of my core values, so I’ve designed my career to be beautifully varied.

Throughout my career, I’ve immersed myself into different roles and working environments, to broaden my experience and increase my adaptability for new employers and clients.

My core areas of expertise detailed below align to my mission of making work better for everyone.

Internal Communications

Your people are your organisation’s greatest asset. And when you communicate with them effectively, the impacts are huge: belief in your strategy, championing you as an employer, and driving higher profitability. I’ve consulted on, managed and delivered internal communications for organisations ranging from 700 to 90,000 colleagues. Examples of my work include:

  • Aligning the employee communications strategy with the business strategy

  • Planning campaigns and content schedules

  • Copywriting email comms, intranet articles and blog posts

  • Producing leader and colleague videos

  • Organising events, from local lunch & learns to global town halls

Content Development

I love coming up with ideas and creating content to support people’s professional development, so they can take ownership for their career journey and do work that’s right for them. Because everyone deserves to do work that’s fulfilling and meaningful.

We’re exposed to so much content in our day-to-day lives, so I cut through the noise to create content that stops people from scrolling and start paying attention.

I’ve developed written content for the Happen to Your Career podcast, blogs and social media posts for ManpowerGroup; visual content for LinkedIn and Instagram posts; and audio content for careers podcast recordings.

Project Management

As a Project Manager, I plan, budget, organise and deliver communications projects and campaigns. Coordinating the whole project, I manage relationships with all relevant stakeholders and ensure that everyone delivers their work to the agreed schedule and budget.

Projects I’ve delivered include multi-channel recruitment advertising campaigns for Three; careers websites for RBS and National Grid; events for Deutsche Bank and RBS; a re-brand for UCL Careers; and the list goes on.

One former client described me as “the best Project Manager I’ve ever worked with”, so you can feel assured that you’re in safe hands.

Copywriting

Copywriting is the starting point in the editorial process. I’ll work with you to understand your requirements, taking a brief about the objectives of your communication before familiarising myself with your tone of voice guidelines. Depending on the scale and complexity of the project, at least one round of amends is usually included.

I’ve written a breadth of copy for various channels, including recruitment-focused white papers, blog pieces and candidate emails, content for a leading careers podcast, and an extensive collection of posts for an online career change platform.

Copy Editing

Copy editing is the second step in the editorial process, to finalise content before the design and layout stage. The Editor is different to the Copywriter and assesses the copy with a fresh perspective. I’ll review your communication against the brief to determine whether the key objectives are coming across, suggest improvements to the flow and structure of content, ensure general consistency and check accuracy.

Copy I’ve edited includes hundreds of job adverts for Jaguar Land Rover, pharmaceutical reports and brand guidelines.

Proofreading

Proofreading is the final quality check in the editorial process before your communication is shared with an audience. I complete a full read through of the content and mark up edits in Word or Adobe, checking for correct spelling and grammar, consistency in style, accurate page numbering and indexing, consistency in formatting, and complete references or tables/figures.

Communications I’ve proofread include 200+ page scientific documents, corporate annual reports, student workbooks, email newsletters, website copy, print materials like brochures, leaflets and posters, as well as social media posts and outdoor advertising.
